Mid Ulster Residents Survey - Help lead change
Residents of Mid Ulster - Have your say
Help me lead change in Mid Ulster. Please take a few moments to complete the short survey, there are a series of yes and no answers to some everyday issues impacting every resident of Mid Ulster.
Snooker is the Game
My main sporting interest is Snooker, and I have competed at various levels of the game over the last number of years.
Cookstown in the 1980's had a very strong local snooker league, with players from all walks of life competing on a regular basis. At one time the league in Cookstown had 3 or 4 divisions with 10 or 12 clubs in each, now with no league in place I am competing in the nearby Omagh & District Snooker League...with some tough competitors.
Police Academy gets green light
Cookstown finally got the green light for construction of a state of the art training facility for police, firefighters and prison officers.
Approval has been secured to build the £139m joint public services college at Desertcreat, just outside the town.
